This ceremony is performed at the 3-4 days prior to Nyepi Day. It is dedicated to Sanghyang Widhi / Vishnu - Devas - Bataras and is performed at the beach to respect them as the owner of The Land and Sea.
The Bhuta Yadnya Ritual
This ritual is performed in order to vanquish the negative elements and creat balance with God, Mankind and Nature.
Tawur Kesanga (the day before Nyepi). People usually make Ogoh - Ogoh (the fantastic monsters and evil spirit or the Bhuta Kala made of bamboo for carnival purposes.
The Ogoh - ogoh monsters symbolize the evil spirits surrounding our environment which have to be got rid of from our lives
These activities are done one day before the Nyepi Day.
The Nyepi Ritual / The Nyepi Day
Is Performed with the following conditions:
- Amati Geni : No fire / light
- Amati Karya : No Working
- Amati Lelunganan : No Travelling
- Amati Lelanguan : Fasting
The Yoga / Brata Ritual
Starts from : 06.00 AM until 6.00 AM on the next day.
Or one night and one day.
The Ngembak Geni / Labuh Brata Ritual
One day after the Nyepi Day,
is performed for all Hindu's to forgive each other and to welcome the new days to come.
