4Days/3Night - Homo Floresiensis and Komodo Dragon
Day 1: Denpasar-Labuan Bajo :
Departure Denpasar by flight to Labuan Bajo in west flores . You will be met by our representative on arrival in Labuan Bajo and by Ac coach drive to Ruteng for about 3.5 hours (137 Km), Ruteng is the Capital city of Manggarai regency, located on the slope of Mandosawu mountain, about 1400 metres up sea level, Dinner and overnight at Dahlia Hotel Ruteng.
Day 2: Ruteng-Liang Bua-Labuan Bajo :
Morning at 06.30, start your discovery by colt diesel to visit Liang Bua about 16 Km northern of Ruteng, soft trekking in Wae Pecah and continue your trip to the place where Homo Floriesiensis was founded by archeopathology of new England university of Australia and from Indonesia. The tiny skeleton called Hobbit was discovered during a three month excavation inside Liang Bua, a cave located in the island of Flores . Scientists believe it may represent a new human species, Homo Floriesiensis . The species existed alongside modern human as recently as 13,000 years ago, yet may descent from Homo Erectus , which arose some two million years ago. Back to Ruteng and by Ac car to Labuan Bajo, upon arrival direct transfer by boat to rinca island. Dinner and overnight on boat.
Day 3: Rinca-Pink Beach-Labuan Bajo :
Morning tracking on rinca island, walking through the typical dry forest to explore the island of Komodo Dragon, you will find many wild animals like deer and wild pig and also various species of tropical birds. Keep your eyes look above as sometime you will find the young Komodo dragon are on the trees. A local ranger will lead you to enter this nature preservation. Return to boat and proceed to Pantai Merah (pink beach) for a peaceful beach, swimming and snorkel in unspoiled coralreef amongst colorful tropical fishes. Lunch on board and afternoon back to Labuan Bajo. Dinner and overnight at New Bajo Beach Hotel or Similar.
Day 4: Labuan Bajo-Denpasar :
After breakfast, morning excursion, visit Batu Cermin ( Miror Stone Cave ). Then transfer to airport to catch the flight leaving for Bali . Upon arrival in Bali , transfer to your hotel.
